Abuse Makes Job Too Hard Say Teachers

Ninety per cent of teachers feel their job has got harder over the past year, with 41 per cent experiencing verbal abuse at school, according to an education survey by The London Teaching Pool Ltd (TLTP).The teaching recruitment firm, also reports that over half (56 per cent) of teachers would not recommend a career in education to others.

Eight per cent of teachers reported being physically attacked by a pupil, with a quarter saying they know a colleague who has been. Many teachers admitted to feelings of fear,with 21 per cent reporting worsening student behaviour.
