Attack on Station Staff Prompts Police Appeal

A member of station staff was hit so hard he fell to the ground, in an unprovoked attacked by a man leaving a train at Forest Hill station.

A representative from the British Transport Police's Workplace Violence Unit, Det Con Garden said, "This was a really nasty assault on the victim, who was simply trying to do his job and has found himself badly injured as a result.

"Staff should be free to carry out their duties without fear of violence and abuse such as this and we are determined to find the person responsible."
