Increasing Verbal and Physical Abuse of Frontline Council Staff in Cumbria 

Police have been called in to investigate an increasing number of face to face verbal and physical attacks on staff working for Copeland Council in Cumbria.

Over the past six months there has been a noticeable increase in aggressive behaviour towards Council employees. Critisism and feedback is expected as part of the job, but recent cases have caused concern, leading to a meeting between the Concil and the police.
