Manchester Academy Receives Lowest Possible Ofsted Rating

Ofsted handed down an 'inadequate' rating to the Manchester Creative and Media Academy on the basis of poor pupil behaviour, absenteeism and under achievement.

Addressing the challenging behaviour of some of the students was a prominent feature of the inspector's report. According to 'mancunianmatters', lead inspector Pankaj Gulab said, “The challenging behaviours of a small minority of students, such as those with more complex social, emotional and mental health needs, are not always identified, supported and addressed, to help them to improve.

“A few (students) demonstrate more challenging behaviours, are difficult to manage and are poor role models to others students, particularly the younger ones. They sometimes challenge staff when attempts are made to address their poor behaviour."
