Pupil Attacks Increasing in Schools
Attacks by pupils on teachers are commonly reported in the media, but the Manchester Evening News reports that whilst pupil assaults on adults in Tameside have dropped, pupil on pupil attacks are on the rise.
The Permanent and fixed-period exclusions in England: 2012 to 2013 figures, released by the Department for Education on 31st July, show that drug and alcohol related suspensions are also increasing, along with verbal abuse and threatening behaviour against pupils and adults.
