Threats and Abuse Suffered by Half of Teachers

According to the Telegraph a NASUWT study shows that more than two thirds of teachers believe pupil indiscipline is a problem and more than half of teachers claimed they had been subjected to verbal abuse or threats from pupils..

Increasingly, lessons are routinely being interrupted by pupils who fail to follow rules, chatter in class, struggle to complete work and arrive in lessons without equipment.

One of the reasons cited for the deteriorating standards of behaviour in schools is children being instilled with a "blame someone else" culture in the home.
