Proven experience and expertise
Maybo programmes have been carefully designed for staff working in settings where there is an ongoing relationship with looked after children and young people with complex needs and who may present behaviours of concern.
We are passionate about the provision of a person-centred, human rights model of care, that reduces the need for restrictive practices and improves quality of life. Our positive strategies help staff to:
Better understand a child’s physiological and emotional needs
Engage them in ways that reduce behaviours that challenge
Reduce the need for restrictive practices
Respond to crises to bring about a return to safety for everyone
Our training is suitable for residential care, short break services, youth justice or educational settings and for children who may be described as having intellectual disabilities, living with autism, mental health, social-emotional and behavioural difficulties or other special educational needs. Training can also be tailored to families and carers.
