Following concerns that necessary COVID precautions can increase conflict and the use of restrictive practices, the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) has collated a list of free resources that aim to help reduce the use of restrictive practices whilst promoting well-being and purposeful activity.

RRN: Useful resources to support wellbeing and reduce the need for restrictive practices during COVID-19

    Maybo perspective

The latest RRN resources are welcomed as the imposing of restrictions and changes to routines can easily become a flashpoint. It has been reassuring to hear accounts from our clients on how relationships have improved and adverse incidents requiring intervention reduced during the crisis. This is largely due to more focus on person-centred active support and building of positive relationships.
